The Research Centre for Gas Innovation (RCGI) and the Institute of Energy and Envionment (IEE) host two lectures with visiting professor Michael Leuchner, of the RWTH Aachen Universitiy (Germany). The professor specializes in the energy and matter exchange between earth surfaces and the atmosphere; and in atmospheric chemistry and micrometeorology.
On September 5th, at 2 pm, the subject will be “Atmospheric Chemistry of Polluted and Remote Atmospheres – Sources and Behaviour of Organic Trace Gases and CO2 in Houston, Texas, and Southern Germany”.
Following this presentation, Professor Flávia Noronha Dutra Ribeiro, from EACH/USP, will present the paper “Transportation urban planning scenarios and their impact on air pollutants and greenhouse gases emissions”. The meeting will be hosted by Young Researcher (FAPESP) Drielli Peyerl.
Already on September 10, also at 14h, the teacher will talk about “Climate Change and Energy Transition: Physical and Conceptual Approach”. Both lectures are part of the activities of the Print/CAPES Program (Postgraduate Program in Energy and Postgraduate Program in Mechanical Engineering); of the Young Researcher Project Drielli Peyerl related to the theme of energy transition (FAPESP); and projects 25 (The Paulista Blue Corridor) and 42 (Environmental Impact Assessment of CCS Activities in Brazil) both linked to RCGI.
