Júlio Meneghini will serve on the Advisory Committee for Mechanical, Naval, Oceanic, and Aerospace Engineering. Term of service begins July 1, 2019 and runs for three years, through June 30, 2022.
Professor Júlio Meneghini, Scientific Director of the FAPESP Shell Research Centre for Gas Innovation (RCGI) and Member of the Mechanical Engineering Department of the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (Poli-USP), was chosen by the Executive Board of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) to serve on the Advisory Committee for Mechanical, Naval, Oceanic, and Aerospace Engineering (CA-EM). His term of service begins July 1, 2019 and runs for three years, through June 30, 2022.
The Advisory Committees of the CNPq involve more than 300 researchers, including full members and substitutes who are periodically chosen, according to their areas of expertise, based on consultations with the Nation’s scientific-technological community. The attributes of these committees include advising the CNPq regarding policy formulations and evaluating projectos and programs within their areas of expertise, as well as assessing requests for study scholarships and assistance grants, and proposals for research support and the preparation of human resources that are sent to this agency.
“It is a great honor to serve on this Committee and I hope to be able to contribute to scientific and technological development in Brazil,” Meneghini said in his acceptance to this invitation made on June 10.
